On Tuesday, February 4, rumours regarding the producer's health started circulating on social media. Russell Simmons turned to social media to reflect on his earlier chat with Gotti. Simmons claimed he pushed Gotti to visit him in Bali for testing and natural medical therapy, but he never did. Other celebrities, like 50 Cent, have reacted to the claims. Despite the widespread rumours, Irv Gotti's family has not confirmed his present status.

Irv Gotti has been dealing with medical challenges for the last year. The legendary record producer's team stated that he had a "minor stroke" last spring as a result of diabetic issues. After an apparent picture of Gotti in a rehabilitation facility surfaced online, his team published a statement on his health.
Gotti, real name Irving Lorenzo, has previously spoken openly about his diabetes. During his appearance on Drink Champs in 2023, he discussed his struggles with maintaining a balanced diet.
Irv Gotti began his career in the music business as a producer for artists like as JAY-Z, DMX, and Fat Joe. He co-founded Murder Inc. Records in 1998 with his brother Chris Gotti, which published records by Ja Rule, Ashanti, Lloyd, and others. Following his success with Murder Inc., Lorenzo moved on to develop television shows such as "Tales" and his own "Murder, Inc."
